A Good Day Off
My one day off this week was nice. I went shopping with my mom and she bought me like 4 tank tops, pj pants, boxers and jeans. Then we went to Sears and ordered new glasses and contacts which I offered to pay for but she said she'd talk to my dad about it.
AND MY AMAZON.COM DELIVERY WAS NEVER MISSING.
Apparently our condos have a little parcel box for the mail that I never knew existed until I asked the mailman today if he remembered delivering an amazon.com package to me, and he was like, "Did you check the parcel box?" I felt like a jackass, my stuff was just sitting there for a month. But how should I know? Anyway, I have my stuff and I'm happy. I've been needing new books, and I should save them for my long and lonely flight to Hawaii, but I bet I won't. I just found out recently that Zach will be leaving a week earlier than me, so I'll be flying alone. I hope I don't have panic attacks while waiting on standby.
After shopping, I met up with Libby, an old co-worker from Pangaea who quit right before me. We had a drink at Sitwells. I haven't really been to any of the places on Ludlow since I stopped working there. We even went inside Pangaea after peeking through the window to make sure Jen wasn't there first. The place seems exactly the same. It was weird to stand in there.
Then I came home and read some of my new book, Running With Scissors. It's such a crazy memoir book. I couldn't put it down. Then I went to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with Amy and Adrienne. I'm still undecided about what I thought about it, but Johnny Depp was pretty funny/creepy.
I am currently baking hot fudge cake to put ice cream on top of, which I bought at Krogers because Amy wanted to get the new Harry Potter book at midnight. I am so fucking sick of Harry Potter. I've read all the books and they're okay, but definitely overrated.
I got the biggest craving for sweets during that damn movie.

See, that's something I would never have known to think of.
Awesome that you finally got your stuff!
